Before Endodontic Treatment
This procedure will be performed using local anesthesia. There are usually no restrictions after the procedure concerning driving or returning to work. The doctor is available for consultation at all times should a problem arise after your treatment.
Continue all medications for any pre-existing medical conditions you may have, as recommended by your physician. If you have any questions, please call our office prior to your appointment.
Please eat a normal diet and meals on the day of your appointment, unless we have given you different instructions.
If you have been advised by your physician or dentist to take antibiotic medication prior to dental treatment because of a heart condition or a total joint replacement, please make sure you have taken the appropriate antibiotic on the day of your appointment. If you have any questions, please call our office prior to your appointment.
If you are medically able to take ibuprofen (Advil), it may help reduce inflammation when taken before your appointment. We recommend two 200mg tablets 2-4 hours before endodontic therapy.
