He continued his education with a one year General Practice Residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He then practiced General Dentistry for ten years, eight of which were in Kitchener-Waterloo. In 2015, he graduated from the University of British Columbia with both a Master of Science degree in Craniofacial Science and a Diploma in Endodontics. In the same year he was granted Fellowship to the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

Dr. Schroeder has lectured at the annual general meeting of the Canadian Academy of Endodontics and he is the primary author of an article published in March 2017 on the cover of the peer-reviewed International Endodontic Journal.

Dr. Schroeder has provided dental and endodontic services for people of the remote First Nations communities of Moose Factory, Ontario and Haida Gwaii, British Columbia, as well as for people of the underserved inner city in Buffalo, New York.

Dr. Schroeder was born and raised in London, Ontario. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially his young nephew, as well as participating in a variety of outdoor activities.
